CRI joins the Gould & Segal Family Foundations in funding 2 Clinic Upgrade projects in Uganda

We are pleased to announce that Child Relief International has agreed to help us complete the funding of two projects in Uganda. One project will upgrade the clinic at the KOMO-NAMA Wellness Center in Mukono, Uganda; the other will upgrade the Kinyamaseke Clinic in the underserved area of Kasese, Uganda. The implementation of the Kinyamaseke project will be managed by ACO DEV.

‍The delivery to NAMA Wellness includes a complete laboratory with a chemistry analyzer, a hematology analyzer and an Hb Electrophoresis machine among other components. Additional key equipment includes a cryotherapy machine for the treatment of cervical cancer, an ultrasound machine for prenatal screening and a complete dental suite.

The Kinyamaseke Clinic upgrade includes two clinic delivery suites, a complete clinic laboratory, maternity & pediatric exam rooms and a incubator.  Additionally,  a portable ultrasound machine will be used to support both clinic and remote village prenatal screening programs.

A special thanks to Ms. Bonnie Weiss, co-founder of Child Relief International, for her efforts in support of these two important projects.
